Blogging: Once again

I am back again in blogging. I lost interest in Facebook and other social networking sites . So I thought I will do blogging for a while. I like to write the blog in English, to improve my language. But I can express more in Malayalam. I created this blog,back in my PG days, entirely for the purpose of one academic project. After that, I didn't write. I have lots to write about, but the words do not come out. There grows some sort of silence..

Again i start writing in blog..I can't for a long period because of internal exams and some personal matters.Only few days remaining me to complete my work.Any way i am doing some work.That gives me a little bit satisfaction.

Back to Blog

Due to various reason i can't write in blog.I am thankful to Mr.K.N.Prasad,editor of SRELS who spent his valuable time for my project work.He and my guide informed me that enough data is not available.I did not get disappointed.I met my guide.We discussed ad we are thinking of doing something in citation analysis itself..He told me to read one article about citation analysis and some work also..It is high time i want to fasten my work..

A Fruitful Meeting

After finalising my project topic i didn't do anything meaningful for some days...Harinarayana Sir scolded me for my laziness..For citation first we had to collect S.R Ranganathan's articles i.e articles written by him..I searched like hell for a period of 3 days and i am really thankful to all my friends who spent their precious time assisting me..I was really disappointed as my guide had assured me that there were many articles on net...but the reality is that there are to a maximum 20 articles on net. Its realy heartening to find out that there is such a drought for the electronic format of the articles of "THE FARTHER OF LIBRARY SCIENCE "... its high time that initiatives have to be taken to create a dependable data base.. it s at this point of time that the cheif librarian Dr.krishnamurthy sir and my guide asked me to meet Dr K N Prasad the cheif executive officer of SARADA RANANATHAN ENDOWMENT FOR LIBRARY SCIENCE. i am realy thankful to the moment at which i had the luck of acquaintance with him.He informed me that there was indeed a shortage of articles present in electronic format, but he promised to help, and got back to me with the information that they are ready to create a data base for it and i will have to wait a bit longer... i express my gratitude for his timely response and his intiative. Though this means my project will be boxed for some time.. i hope to divert my atentions to other aspects.

Project Title

After a long days gap again i started project work.The title for my project is
CITATION ANALYSIS OF RANGANATHAN'S ARTICLE..
Next step for doing any project is to know whether anybody did that work earlier..For that i searched in Information Science Abstract.Nobody did that work..It is confirmed.My guide suggested me to go through some sites.. i searched in htttp://www.isibang.ac.in/librarian . From there i got information Ranganathan's portal..some books written by him and about him...
